Leadership 9 (XLEAD09)
This course is designed for Grade 9 students to gain experience with social and civic responsibility along with providing them with an introduction into effective leadership styles and methods. It is run outside the timetable throughout the year through after-school and lunchtime meetings and involves volunteer activities. Considerable emphasis is on individual project work. This is a tremendous opportunity for students who want to contribute to the life of the school and community.
COURSE NOTE: This class takes place outside the timetable. Registration in the course is contingent upon the recommendation of Grade 8 staff.
Leadership 10/11/12 (YCPA-0ALEA/-1ALEA/-2ALEA)
This course is designed to give students an awareness of social and civic responsibility along with experience and understanding of effective Leadership styles and methods. This year-long course is run outside the timetable in after-school and lunchtime meetings and involves volunteer activities. Considerable emphasis is on project management and personal Leadership. This is a tremendous opportunity for students who want to contribute to the life of the school and community. COURSE NOTE: This class takes place outside the timetable.
GRAD Council/GRAD Leadership (YCPA-2CGRA)
Grad Council is a Grade 12 focused leadership class with two main purposes: to fund raise (i.e. pizza/candy sales) and organize grad activities for all graduating students. Students are expected to attend early morning meetings regularly and volunteer for several student committees that are responsible for Grad activities.
