CORE 10: SOCIAL STUDIES, ENGLISH AND SCIENCE

The Core Program was established to support students who have struggled with the core academic courses. This program is designed to help students acquire the basic skills and knowledge to complete academic courses using a self-paced model with a focus on teaching AVID strategies.  The CORE program offers instruction in English 10, Social Studies 10, and Science 10. Students are expected to complete a course in one semester but in special circumstances, the time can be extended to two semesters. Selection of students is based on recommendations from counsellors, teachers and administrators.
